Who We Are

A&P Grain Systems designs, builds, and services grain systems throughout Northern Illinois. We offer a full line of grain handling equipment, specializing in grain bins, dryers, legs, support towers, dump pits, conveyors, grain cannons, and augers. We have worked hard to put together some of the most reliable equipment at competitive pricing. As a recognized major supplier by our manufacturers, we are able to pass on competitive pricing to our customers.

 

Our History

A&P Grain Systems was founded in 1996 by David W. Altepeter. After years of working in the agricultural industry—starting as a laborer and moving into sales—Dave saw firsthand how large corporations were becoming disconnected from their customers' needs. Determined to build a business that put both customers and employees first, he started A&P from the basement of his home.

His daughter, Melissa, joined him as a teenager, assisting with paperwork and operations. Over time, she took on more responsibilities and today serves as the company's Secretary/Treasurer. A&P has grown significantly over the years but remains committed to personal service, honesty, and expert craftsmanship.
